Overview

The WORKS WITH SORAA program is designed to enable customer-ready solutions for the LED Lighting market, using LED lamps from Soraa, and fixtures, transformers, and dimmers from other manufacturers. The program is also being extended to manufacturers who create accessories for the SORAA SNAP System™.

The biggest hurdle to the adoption of LED replacement lamps today is the incompatibility between the lamps and the various fixtures, transformers and dimmers that, in many cases, are designed for traditional light sources. The incompatibility can be:

  • Mechanical – Lamp does not fit in fixture
  • Thermal – Lamp overheats in fixture
  • Electrical – Lamp is not compatible with transformer and/or dimmer

The WORKS WITH SORAA program is designed to foster strong collaboration between Soraa and the manufacturers, so various combinations of lamps, transformers and dimmers can be validated for mechanical, thermal, and electrical compatibility. Specifiers can then specify, and customers can purchase and install these validated combinations with confidence.

Manufacturers who are interested in creating accessories for the SORAA SNAP System are also invited to join the WORKS WITH SORAA program. Examples of accessories include lenses for various beam spreads, hex-louvers and snoots to reduce glare, grates to create linear light patterns, filters for color temperature shifting and color tint effects.

How Does it Work?

If you are a manufacturer of fixtures, transformers, dimmers or accessories, and are interested becoming a WORKS WITH SORAA Partner, review and submit the WORKS WITH SORAA Partner Agreement. Upon approval of the agreement, you will receive lamps, collateral and technical support from us to help with the testing and validation of your products with our lamps. After these products are tested and validated for compatibility with our lamps, both of us will jointly promote the combinations to the market. We will list the validated products on our website, cross-referenced with the lamps with which the products were tested. Similarly, you will list the validated products in your catalogs and website, cross-referenced with the Soraa lamps tested.
