Now, Even Adults Can Be Tucked into Bed

As part of a greater focus on health, last year Apple released a slew of functions with its latest mobile operating system to allow users to keep track of their sleeping habits and to remind users when to go to bed to ensure a full night of rest. According to the native Clock app, going to bed and waking up at the same times every day are key to healthy sleep. With this in mind, a writer at Thrive Global shared her thoughts on how to get the best sleep possible by utilizing Apple’s ‘Bedtime’ feature in an article titled, “Why My Phone’s ‘Bedtime’ Function Is Changing My Life.”

When Apple updated to the new iOS 10 software, I noticed a few of the epic updates. Not only was the epic change to texting a plus, but the added “Bedtime” option under the Clock app rocked my world!

I always thought getting “enough” sleep meant getting just enough to be able to get things done while running off pure adrenaline. But now, once I wake up, I’m up! Seriously, I can’t remember the last time I woke up tired. I can feel my creativity coming back and I don’t have to sacrifice sleep every night to tap into it.

I encourage everyone struggling with turning your work mind off and your rest mind on to activate your “sleep” function. If you don’t have an iPhone, there are tons of apps that may be able to get the job done for you. Finally settling into an 8-hour sleep schedule may not seem like a lot to you, but to me, a former insomniac, it’s EVERYTHING!

The iPhone’s new function can be found and configured within an all-new “Bedtime” tab in the native Clock app in iOS 10. Once activated, users will then receive daily reminders to head to bed and also to wake up in the morning.
